Many of us have heard the term “moron” used before, but few know its history and origin. This documentary takes an in-depth look at this word and its implications – from what it means to be “stupid,” to how we assign intelligence through IQ tests. It delves into the concept of intelligence itself, examining everything from brilliance to genius. The film also looks at the way we often treat intelligence as a hard-and-fast rule: something that can easily be assigned with a number or test score.
In addition, the documentary looks specifically at former US President George W. Bush’s public persona and actions – which many perceive as being indicative of stupidity – and delves deeper into whether his decisions were actually based on sheer ignorance or some other factor.
