About the film
Hacking at Leaves is a 2024 Austrian documentary film written and directed by Johannes Grenzfurthner. It centers on a makerspace in Durango, Colorado, whose members produced medical protective equipment during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic. The film connects that story with Navajo history, US colonialism, and the history of hacker and maker culture.
