Those are season-labeled CBS images—not recent portraits—so “now” here means later in the series, not necessarily how the actors look today. The family sitcom is a prequel to The Big Bang Theory, following Sheldon Cooper’s childhood; Iain Armitage plays young Sheldon, while Jim Parsons narrates as the adult Sheldon. TVLine’s Season 1, 3 and 7 comparison is the strongest matched visual record of the central trio.
Sheldon, Missy and Georgie: the season-by-season comparison
Comparing the same characters in stills from the same show makes the change across the series easier to see than pairing a childhood frame with an unrelated modern portrait. TVLine identifies its trio images as CBS-sourced and labels them by season. Use those season labels when viewing or republishing the images; they establish when the characters appear on screen, not the actors’ current appearance.

| Actor | Character | Matched image sequence | What the sequence shows |
|---|---|---|---|
| Iain Armitage | Sheldon Cooper | Season 1, Season 3, Season 7 | Sheldon’s progression from the early childhood episodes to the final season. TVLine reports Armitage was eight when cast; that age is not an age label for every image. |
| Raegan Revord | Missy Cooper | Season 1, Season 3, Season 7 | Missy’s development alongside her twin brother across the series. |
| Montana Jordan | Georgie Cooper | Season 1, Season 3, Season 7 | Georgie’s changing appearance as he grows from Sheldon and Missy’s older brother into a young adult. |
All three sequences are documented in TVLine’s February 11, 2024 photo feature, which credits the images to CBS. The season numbers are the dependable comparison points; the source does not provide an actor age for each individual still.
How to read “then vs. now” photos of the adult cast
The adult cast does not have the same season-labeled three-image sequence in the cited material. Mary, George and Meemaw are played by Zoe Perry, Lance Barber and Annie Potts, respectively; Emily Osment joined the cast as Mandy McAllister. Netflix Tudum’s cast guide identifies these roles. Broader then-and-now galleries from Us Weekly and TheWrap include show stills alongside separately credited event or agency photographs.

That mix matters: an event portrait is not a matched “after” image from a later season. Keep the season or event date and image credit with each photo, and do not label an older portrait as the actor’s current look. Image credits document provenance; they do not by themselves grant permission to reuse a photograph.
Where the cast and story went after the finale
Young Sheldon concluded in 2024 after seven seasons. JustWatch counts 141 episodes in its cast update, published June 13, 2025 and updated June 29, 2026. Its guide offers post-finale cast context, but career details can change and should be checked against a current source before being described as upcoming or ongoing.
Rank #2
- Young Sheldon: The Complete First Season - DVD Brand New
The most direct continuation is Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, a CBS sequel starring Montana Jordan and Emily Osment reprising Georgie and Mandy. The Associated Press reported on the series in October 2024; it is a clear bridge from the Cooper family story without implying that every cast member returned. Read the AP report.

Netflix Tudum said on April 15, 2025 that Season 7 had joined the first six seasons on Netflix. That dated catalog note does not establish present availability in every country.
