4. The adult survivors’ story continues, too
Yellowjackets links the teenagers’ ordeal to the lives of the survivors nearly 25 years later. In Season 3, the adults are still trying to keep their lives from coming apart while facing threats connected to their shared past and to one another.
5. Hilary Swank joined the cast
Hilary Swank was named as a Season 3 cast addition in Paramount’s release announcement. That casting news establishes her place in the ensemble; it does not, by itself, confirm further character details.

What kind of story is Yellowjackets?
The series follows talented high-school girls’ soccer players who survive a plane crash in a remote northern wilderness. It alternates between their struggle to survive and the adult survivors’ lives nearly 25 years later, tracing how the group fractures into rival factions. Paramount Global Content’s series catalog lists three seasons and 29 episodes in total.
The wilderness story leaves room for more than one interpretation of what is happening. The show’s official synopsis does not settle whether the force the characters encounter is supernatural, so it is more accurate to treat that question as an ongoing dramatic tension than as a confirmed explanation.
