The preceding May release added Live Captions and AI Voice Clarity. The newest build available on October 3, 2026 is not established here, so check XSplit’s release updates for the current version before updating.
What changed in the June 2026 update?
XSplit’s June update describes improved Game Capture reliability, especially for DirectX 12 games. It names Forza Horizon 6, Cyberpunk 2077, and GTA V Enhanced as examples. This is XSplit’s description of the update, not an independently measured performance result. The same update explains a Twitch Dual Format workflow for creators preparing horizontal and vertical layouts.
Set up Twitch Dual Format
- In XSplit Broadcaster, use Multi Output Mode to prepare horizontal and vertical layouts.
- In your Twitch channel properties, enable Enhanced Broadcasting and Dual Format.
- Check the current Twitch and XSplit settings before going live; platform menus and eligibility can change.
What did May 2026 add?
Broadcaster version 4.6.2605.2109 introduced Live Captions and AI Voice Clarity, revised the pre-stream dialog, and changed audio defaults. XSplit says Live Captions were tested with Twitch and YouTube Live.
Enable captions for YouTube Live
- Enable Send Caption in XSplit’s Live Captions tool.
- Enable Closed Captions in YouTube’s Live pre-stream dialog.
For Twitch, use the caption settings applicable to that platform. The release note describes a separate workflow rather than the YouTube toggle path.

Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Check the audio-mode change
Presentation Sources became the default Audio Mode. Default Speaker and Default Microphones were also added to the mixer by default. If audio routing behaves differently after updating, inspect the selected Audio Mode and mixer sources before changing your microphone or speaker setup. AI Voice Clarity is an added microphone noise-suppression option; the update does not establish that new hardware is required.
Pre-stream dialog
The May release lets users show the pre-stream dialog each time or skip it by reusing prior stream details. The release note lists Facebook, Kick, Twitch, Vimeo, and YouTube Live. Reusing prior details is convenient, but review the destination and broadcast information before starting a new stream.

What changed earlier in 2026?
March: controls, preview workflow, and platform features
Broadcaster 4.5.2603.0506 moved key Stream and Record controls, revamped the Preview Editor workflow, added YouTube thumbnail support, and enabled editing Twitch broadcast details in the app. It also expanded automatic background removal to NDI and Webpage sources.
The March note said YouTube Dual Stream encoder access was limited to select users at that time and required manually copying stream-key credentials. That is dated availability guidance, not a guarantee that access or setup remains the same.

How to check your version and recover from an update problem
XSplit describes version numbers as major, minor, and patch components. Its version guidance says it generally supports versions downloadable from its own site, maintains at least two stable releases, and may replace an older version when a newer patch or minor or major release arrives.
- Open XSplit Broadcaster and check the installed version in the app’s version or About information.
- Compare it with XSplit’s current release updates and support release notes. The exact newest build available on October 3, 2026 is not established by the dated updates summarized here.
- If the new release causes a problem, XSplit’s guidance says to download the latest previous stable release from XSplit’s website. Confirm that the version is still offered and back up or note any setup details you may need to restore.
Published system requirements and compatibility
XSplit’s requirements page, updated November 11, 2025, describes Broadcaster as Windows-only and lists Windows 10 or 11 64-bit, 8 GB RAM minimum, a 2nd-generation Intel Core i5 or equivalent minimum processor, graphics with DirectX 10.1 or better, and 250 MB available storage. It recommends a 4th-generation Core i5 or equivalent for 720p and a Core i7 or equivalent for 1080p. These are XSplit’s published requirements, not a recommendation to buy or upgrade hardware. Because the page predates the 2026 updates, recheck the current requirements page before choosing an operating system or new PC.

Keeping a YouTube channel live while your PC is off
XSplit Broadcaster is a production application; these release updates do not turn it into a cloud service that loops uploaded videos continuously without a computer running. If your goal is specifically a 24/7 YouTube stream from uploaded recordings rather than a live camera or desktop production, StreamNeo is a cloud alternative: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops the uploaded videos from the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not have to stay on.
StreamNeo uses one flat price per slot for any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps, with no re-encoding or quality tiers. Each slot includes 10 GB storage pooled across active slots, looping and playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and support from the StreamNeo team. The first day is free with no card, one free day per account. Monthly: $9.99 per month. UPI and cards are available in India; card checkout is available worldwide. StreamNeo is for YouTube streams of uploaded videos, not camera broadcasts.
