WWE’s Raw Netflix premiere took place on January 6, 2025, at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. WWE’s official results record four matches—not five—and the available contemporaneous card coverage also substantiates those same four. This retrospective separates what was on the card from what a preview could reasonably have predicted; it does not invent a fifth bout.
What was announced for the Raw Netflix premiere?
WWE announced the January 6, 2025 show would air live from the Intuit Dome at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET. The announcement promoted John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Bianca Belair, other WWE Superstars and surprise guests, but did not announce a complete match card. WWE’s event announcement is therefore evidence of the date, venue, time and featured talent—not a fifth match.
Netflix was announced as Raw’s exclusive new home in the U.S., Canada, U.K. and Latin America beginning in January 2025, with more territories to follow over time. That was the partnership’s announced scope at the time, not a statement of present-day availability. WWE and Netflix’s January 2024 announcement documents the original arrangement.
Four match predictions—and what actually happened
The four matchups below are the ones listed in WWE’s official event results and a contemporaneous CBS Sports preview. The prediction notes are retrospective editorial judgments about the stakes, not claims that the winners were known beforehand.

Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa — Tribal Combat
Prediction: Roman Reigns to win and reclaim the Ula Fala. The stakes were unusually explicit: the contest was for the ceremonial Ula Fala and recognition as Tribal Chief. Sikoa’s challenge put both the symbol and the leadership claim in play, while a Reigns victory offered a clear route back to authority within the family story.
Result: Reigns defeated Sikoa. WWE’s recap says he reclaimed the Ula Fala and his status as Tribal Chief.

Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley — Women’s World Championship
Prediction: Ripley to regain the title. The match paired a personal rivalry with a championship at stake, giving Ripley a direct way to reverse Morgan’s hold on the division. A Morgan win would have sustained her claim over her rival; a Ripley win would turn the feud toward defending the championship rather than pursuing it.
Result: Ripley defeated Morgan to reclaim the Women’s World Championship.

Jey Uso vs. Drew McIntyre
Prediction: Jey Uso to edge out McIntyre. WWE framed the matchup as a hard-hitting contest, and a win would give Uso momentum against a formidable opponent. McIntyre’s power made him a credible pick, but Uso’s ability to seize an opening gave the prediction a plausible finish without requiring a title stake the event coverage does not identify.
Result: Uso won by roll-up after McIntyre had set up another Claymore, according to WWE’s recap.

CM Punk vs. Seth “Freakin” Rollins
Prediction: Punk to win a heated rivalry match. WWE described the pair as bitter rivals, making the result about more than a routine win: a victory could give either man leverage in their ongoing conflict. Punk’s eventual win would give the premiere’s main event a decisive close, while a Rollins victory could have prolonged the chase for payback.
Result: Punk defeated Rollins in the main event. WWE’s recap describes the rivals brawling into the crowd before returning to the ring.

Why there is no fifth match prediction
The number five in the original framing cannot be supported by the available record. WWE’s official results list four matches; its premiere announcement names featured performers but does not specify another bout; and the surfaced contemporaneous CBS Sports preview lists the same four matchups. An appearance or segment prediction would be a different kind of forecast, not a fifth match. Calling one a confirmed match would overstate what these sources establish.
How the premiere performed
WWE and Netflix reported 4.9 million global Live+1 views for the premiere. Their release defines views as total viewing hours divided by runtime, described as the closest proxy for average-minute audience at the household level; the count excluded 92 countries and territories where Netflix did not yet distribute WWE. The same release reported 2.6 million U.S. households in Live+SD, measured by VideoAmp, compared with Raw’s 1.2 million average U.S. households in 2024; WWE and Netflix characterized that as 116% higher. These are company-reported figures, and views and household counts are different measures. WWE also reported 223 million social views on premiere day, more than for any Raw episode in 2024.
Those audience claims and their definitions appear in WWE and Netflix’s January 9, 2025 release.
