Finn Bálor earned another shot at CM Punk’s World Heavyweight Championship on the February 9, 2026, episode of Monday Night Raw. After Bálor demanded an opportunity, Punk agreed to defend the title against him at Elimination Chamber. The show also saw the Usos retain the World Tag Team Championship, while Rhea Ripley and LA Knight won Elimination Chamber qualifying matches.
Finn Bálor secures a championship match with CM Punk
Bálor’s bid for another title opportunity was the episode’s central development. He interrupted an interview with Punk and pressed for a match; Punk accepted the challenge for Elimination Chamber. WWE’s official episode recap confirms the agreement.
The “second chance” framing reflects Bálor getting another opportunity, not his first attempt: WWE’s January 19 Raw results show that he had already wrestled Punk for the championship. PWTorch and Fightful described Bálor as feeling like an afterthought in their accounts of the segment, but those reports paraphrase his remarks rather than provide verified verbatim dialogue: PWTorch and Fightful.
Raw results: titles and Elimination Chamber qualifiers
| Match or segment | Result |
|---|---|
| World Tag Team Championship | Jimmy and Jey Uso defeated Otis and Akira Tozawa of Alpha Academy to retain. WWE’s recap describes the finish as a double spear followed by the 1-D. |
| Women’s Elimination Chamber qualifier | Rhea Ripley defeated Lyra Valkyria and Ivy Nile in a triple threat, pinning Valkyria after a Riptide. |
| Men’s Elimination Chamber qualifier | LA Knight defeated Penta and Austin Theory in a triple threat. A masked attacker disrupted the closing sequence; Knight ultimately hit Theory with the BFT. |
These match results and finishes are from WWE’s February 9 recap.
