It follows a mysterious cash-truck guard whose precise response to a robbery hints at a personal score. A dated U.S. chart snapshot does not establish that the movie is an “immediate sleeper hit” in America: JustWatch ranked it No. 1207 on its daily streaming chart on October 7, 2026, a tracker position rather than a viewership total.
What is Wrath of Man about?
Statham plays a newly hired security guard for an armored cash truck. When a robbery puts his crew in danger, he responds with startling precision, leaving his co-workers to question who he is and why he took the job. The film gradually reveals his motive: revenge.

Miramax’s official synopsis describes the guard as “Mysterious and wild-eyed” and says his “ultimate motive becomes clear” as he takes “dramatic and irrevocable steps to settle a score.” The story combines a cash-in-transit heist setup with a revenge plot; its central mystery is the man behind the uniform.
Who made the film, and is it a remake?
Guy Ritchie directed Wrath of Man. Miramax credits Ivan Atkinson, Ritchie, Nicolas Boukhrief, and Marn Davies as writers. The cast includes Jason Statham, Scott Eastwood, Jeffrey Donovan, Niamh Algar, Josh Hartnett, Post Malone, Laz Alonso, and Holt McCallany. Netflix Tudum identifies the film as a remake of the 2004 French movie Le Convoyeur and describes it as the fourth collaboration between Ritchie and Statham.

Does the “sleeper hit in America” claim hold up?
The evidence available supports a narrower statement: the film appeared on a U.S. streaming tracker years after its release, but the chart snapshot does not show how many people watched it or establish a breakout. JustWatch placed Wrath of Man at No. 1207 on its U.S. Daily Streaming Charts on October 7, 2026. That is a ranking on JustWatch’s tracker, not a streaming count, box-office result, or measure of popularity across all services.
Rank #2
No box-office total or streaming-viewership figure was verified in the sources cited here. The IMDb news aggregation result that prompted the “four years later” wording identifies the film and repeats a secondary headline; it does not independently verify an “immediate sleeper hit” claim. The available evidence therefore does not justify treating that wording as a measured U.S. success story.
Where can you watch Wrath of Man in the U.S.?
In a U.S. availability snapshot checked October 7, 2026, JustWatch listed streaming options on Prime Video and AMC services, digital rental and purchase through multiple storefronts, and Amazon DVD/Blu-ray for physical copies. Prime Video also displayed UHD rental and purchase options in its listing. These listings change, so check the service or retailer directly for current availability and edition details.

Platform runtime listings are inconsistent: Prime Video lists 1 hour 54 minutes, while Apple TV lists 1 hour 58 minutes. Both identify the film as a 2021 release rated R. Because the listed durations differ, check the specific platform or edition you plan to watch rather than assuming one runtime applies everywhere. See the Prime Video listing and Apple TV listing.
