Worth It or Woke is a movie and television review site that openly frames its coverage from a conservative, Christian perspective. Its main difference from Rotten Tomatoes is the way it separates a reviewer’s recommendation, an assessment of ideological content, and a judgment of overall craft. That makes it a viewpoint-specific resource—not an independently validated measure of whether a film is good or representative of critics’ views.
What Worth It or Woke is—and who it is for
Worth It or Woke covers movies, television, and children’s entertainment. The site says its reviews address ideological messaging, storytelling, and age appropriateness. Its About page says it was founded in 2023 and describes its perspective as grounded in a Christian worldview, with family-oriented parental notes alongside discussion of ideological content. The homepage and About page explain that positioning.
That explicit viewpoint is useful context for readers: the site is designed for people who want to consider conservative or Christian concerns when deciding what to watch. It is not presented as a neutral, all-viewpoints consensus panel.
How its rating system differs from Rotten Tomatoes
Worth It or Woke describes three separate dimensions in its critic application. The distinction matters because a recommendation, a reading of ideological content, and a craft assessment answer different questions.

| Dimension | What it is intended to communicate |
|---|---|
| Worth It / Not Worth It | The critic’s recommendation. |
| Woke Score | The critic’s assessment of how radical progressive ideology affects a story, its tone, or its quality. |
| Overall Quality (A+ to F) | The critic’s assessment of professional craft. |
The application contrasts this structure with what it calls a single “fresh or not fresh” signal from traditional aggregators. That is the platform’s rationale for its approach, not proof that the system is more nuanced or accurate in practice. Worth It or Woke’s three scores can help readers distinguish “Would I watch it?” from “What ideological concerns does this reviewer identify?” and “How well is it made?”
What the Woke-O-Meter and Woke Report mean
The site describes its Woke-O-Meter as a graphic measure of how much radical progressivism affects a film, series, or game. Its Woke Report gives a more detailed account of elements reviewers identify, including material they regard as counterbalancing those elements. These are the platform’s own categories and judgments—not objective or independently validated measurements. Worth It or Woke’s About page defines them.

Accordingly, a score is best read as one reviewer’s interpretation through the site’s stated lens. It does not, by itself, establish how other critics or viewers would assess the same material.
How to use it when choosing what to watch
- Start with the recommendation. The Worth It / Not Worth It rating tells you whether that critic recommends the title.
- Read the Woke Report for the reasoning. Look for the specific story or messaging elements the reviewer identifies rather than relying on a number alone.
- Check the craft rating separately. The A+ to F score is meant to assess professional quality, which is not the same as ideological agreement or suitability for a particular viewer.
- Use other sources for your own decision. Consider your tastes and, for children, consult age guidance and parental information beyond this site’s perspective.
The site’s terms say ratings and reviews are subjective, for informational and entertainment purposes, and not guaranteed to be accurate or to match a reader’s view. The available evidence does not establish that Worth It or Woke’s scores are more accurate or more representative than aggregate review sites. Its terms and conditions also say user and critic opinions are their own.
