What is the Wordle answer?
Spoiler: BUNNY
BUNNY is a five-letter word spelled B-U-N-N-Y. The word has one vowel, U; it starts with the consonant B; and its middle contains the repeated consecutive letters NN. The letter pattern explains why a solver could miss the answer even after identifying several individual letters: the puzzle uses a double N rather than two different consonants.

The Tool Desk
Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Why could BUNNY be difficult to solve?
BUNNY can be difficult because repeated letters are easy to overlook in Wordle. A solver may discover B, U, or Y while assuming that the two middle consonants must be different. Once the double-letter possibility is considered, the pattern B-U-N-N-Y becomes much more constrained.
The answer also combines a common word with a less obvious spelling pattern. “Bunny” is familiar in meaning, but the repeated N occupies the third and fourth positions, and the final Y functions as the word’s ending letter rather than another vowel.

How should you use the hints without spoiling the puzzle?
Use the clues in order: begin with the one-vowel hint, then check the starting-letter information, and only then use the double-letter and meaning clues. The first two clues preserve the most of the original solving challenge; the repeated-letter clue narrows the pattern substantially; and the rabbit or Bugs Bunny clues make the answer close to explicit.
For a future Wordle, a useful general lesson from #1618 is to keep repeated letters in consideration even when a word appears to have an obvious consonant pattern. Wordle can use the same letter more than once, and a confirmed letter does not rule out another copy in an adjacent position.
