William Levy was arrested in Weston, Florida, on April 14, 2025, after deputies responded to a disturbance call at Baires Grill. He was booked on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing, but the Miami Herald reported on December 1, 2025, that he completed a misdemeanor diversion program and the charges were dismissed.
Why was William Levy arrested?
According to the Miami Herald’s account of a Broward Sheriff’s Office police report, deputies arrived at Baires Grill just after 10 p.m. following a reported disturbance. The report described Levy as “highly intoxicated and causing a disturbance inside the establishment.” It also said the manager gave him a trespass warning and deputies ordered him to leave multiple times. Those details are allegations reported from the complaint, not adjudicated findings.
Levy gave a different account after his release. He said he had been drinking with a friend from his son’s baseball team when other people began arguing, and that he stepped in to de-escalate the situation. That is Levy’s explanation of the events.
What were William Levy’s charges?
Contemporaneous reporting said Levy was booked on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing in an occupied structure or conveyance. He was released the following day on a $500 bond, according to the Miami Herald. An arrest and booking are not convictions.

Yes. The Miami Herald reported that a court ruling accepting Levy into a misdemeanor diversion program was handed down on June 30, 2025, and reported the program’s acceptance on July 9. On December 1, the paper reported that Levy had completed the program and the charges were dismissed.
The Miami Herald quoted the Broward County State Attorney’s Office describing the program as one that “affords first time offenders an opportunity to immediately accept responsibility for their actions, seek rehabilitation, and divert their cases from the criminal court system.” The reported dismissal followed Levy’s program completion; it should not be described as a conviction.
