As of October 8, 2026, Pixar’s official feature-film catalogue does not list WALL-E 2, and the sources reviewed contain no official sequel announcement or release date. That means no sequel is publicly confirmed in those sources—not that Pixar has ruled one out or that confidential development is impossible.
What Pixar’s current catalogue shows
Pixar’s official feature-film catalogue includes WALL-E, but does not list a sequel as of October 8, 2026. The catalogue’s silence is evidence that no sequel is publicly listed there; it is not a statement that Pixar has rejected the idea.

There is no sourced release date or confirmed sequel product to report. A date or production schedule would be speculation unless Pixar or Disney announces one.
What Andrew Stanton said about a sequel
Andrew Stanton, who wrote and directed the original film, said in a 2008 interview that a sequel was not then in the works and had not been pre-planned. His exact answer was: “there isn’t anything in the works right now like it wasn’t pre-planned to have a sequel, no.” That comment records his response at the time; it does not establish Pixar’s plans in 2026. #1 Best Overall
Pixar’s profile of Stanton identifies him as the film’s writer-director and as the studio’s Vice President, Creative. His role is useful context, but the dated interview should not be treated as a current sequel announcement or denial.
