The January 2025 reports did not confirm that Ice Spice pulled out of Wildlands Perth. What they documented was a late arrival and a cut-short set at the Brisbane New Year’s Eve show, followed by audience frustration and a scheduled Perth set that the reporting anticipated but did not verify. The outcome of that Perth performance is not established by the sources available, and the Wildlands lineup currently published for Perth is a different, later edition that does not list her.
What the January 2025 report actually described
The article at the center of the headline was published by PerthNow, written by Artemisia Blythe, at 3:41pm on 3 January 2025. It was written before the evening’s scheduled Perth set, and it reported concern about how the Brisbane performance had gone. It did not report a cancellation announcement from Ice Spice, her management, or Wildlands.

The reported sequence at Brisbane on New Year’s Eve 2024 was:
- Scheduled length: a 30-minute set.
- Arrival: she reportedly appeared about 25 minutes into her set time.
- Performance: two songs.
- Ending: her microphone was cut at 11:01pm.
The same article said she was due to perform in Perth at 6:40pm that evening for 30 minutes. That Perth timing is the scheduled plan as reported, not evidence of what happened on stage.

Wildlands’ explanation
PerthNow said Wildlands had not responded to its media requests but had addressed the incident in comments on Instagram. The festival’s stated reason for the cutoff was timing. Chase & Status needed to go on stage on time before the 12:30 curfew and the New Year countdown. As reported, the festival said:
- “We understand that Ice Spice’s delayed arrival caused some disappointment.”
- “Managing a stacked festival means that we have to be extremely firm with scheduled set times. We had a strict curfew of 12:30 and needed to ensure that Chase & Status went on stage on time so everyone could enjoy the NYE Countdown!”
These comments explain why the set was stopped. They do not explain why Ice Spice arrived late, and PerthNow did not name an individual spokesperson, so the wording should be attributed to Wildlands as quoted by PerthNow.

What the report does not establish
The “may bail” wording in the headline reflects audience worry, not a confirmed threat. Four points are not established by that reporting or by any other available source:
- A cancellation. No statement from the artist or organiser says she would withdraw from the Perth edition.
- The Perth outcome. Whether the 30-minute Perth set took place as scheduled is not confirmed by the available sources.
- Audience reaction as measured fact. The reported booing and sighing came from social media posts quoted in the article. It is anecdotal, not a survey.
- The full Brisbane circumstances. The arrival time and song count are the article’s reporting. They should not be treated as independently verified beyond that.
The Wildlands Perth edition listed today
Readers searching for Ice Spice and Wildlands Perth now will find pages for a later event, and they should not be confused with the January 2025 coverage. Untitled Group’s event listing marks the 2026 edition as passed and lists its Perth event at Arena Joondalup on 3 January 2026. It separately lists Wildlands 2026/27 on 2 January 2027.
The official Wildlands WA lineup for the 2 January 2027 Perth event at Arena Joondalup includes John Summit, Skepta, WORSHIP, KI/KI, Disco Lines, Ewan McVicar, Funk Tribu, Hannah Laing, Nia Archives, Overmono, Anetha, SPFDJ, Benwal, Kyle Starkey, Dean Turnley, Frost Children, Hamdi, Layton Giordani, Lens, MPH, Oppidan, Robert Baxter, Saint Ludo, Yikes, Groove Junction, and KT. Ice Spice is not on that list. Lineups can change, so check the official page before relying on it, but the absence means only that she is not listed there; it says nothing about the 2025 performance.
If you are planning to attend the 2027 Perth edition
The official Wildlands WA ticket page displays the following prices at the time of writing. They are live figures and may change, and booking fees are added on top of each one.

- Name matching: the official page says ticket names must match photo ID at entry.
- Refunds: the page states a no-refund policy.
- Resale: Tixel is named as the only authorised resale partner. Buying from other resellers is not covered by the official page.
- Accommodation: the official page lists a hotel package at The Adnate Perth – Art Series for 2–3 January 2027.
For getting there, Wildlands’ attendee guidance says Arena Joondalup is within walking distance of Joondalup Train Station and encourages public transport. The same guidance recommends bringing a reusable water bottle, because water stations are set up around the venue. That is current guidance for the 2027 event and should not be read as a description of the arrangements in 2025.

- Start with the organiser’s own channels, including Wildlands WA’s official lineup and information pages, and any post-event statement they publish.
- Check the original reporting’s date and whether it was written before or after the scheduled set. A pre-set article such as the PerthNow piece can only describe plans.
- Look for a post-event report that names the set time and length. Treat social media comments as individual accounts, not confirmation.
- If no post-event record appears, say so rather than filling the gap with the headline’s wording.
The January 2025 story is best read as a record of a disrupted Brisbane set, a festival’s stated reason for enforcing its timetable, and a pre-show article written before the Perth outcome was known. It is not evidence that the artist cancelled, and the sources available do not show whether the Perth set went ahead.
