Box-office charts may show a single weekend, a full week, or a cumulative total. Those numbers answer different questions: a weekend entry measures receipts over that weekend; a weekly entry covers the chart’s week; a cumulative gross adds receipts across a film’s run to a stated date. The reported milestone concerns domestic/North American theatrical box office, not every kind of film ranking.
