If you expected a new season of The View and haven’t found it, the short answer is that the season has already started. ABC premiered Season 30 live on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, and the show’s official episode guide lists episodes for October 5 and October 6, 2026. As of October 8, 2026, ABC’s pages do not explain a gap on any later date, and they do not name the next new episode. The rest of this article explains what is confirmed, what is not, and how to check your own local schedule.
When Season 30 premiered
ABC announced on September 4, 2026 that Season 30 would premiere live on ABC on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 11 a.m. to noon Eastern Daylight Time. That date has passed. ABC said the premiere would also stream the next day on Disney+ and Hulu. The announcement named Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and Ana Navarro as returning to the table.

Where the show stands on the schedule
ABC’s official show page lists the program for weekdays at 11 a.m. Eastern, 10 a.m. Central and Pacific. That is the network’s standard time slot. Your local station can air the program at a different time, or preempt it for news, sports, or special programming, so the network listing is a starting point rather than a guarantee for your market.
ABC’s episode guide shows an October 5, 2026 episode with Sen. Thom Tillis and an October 6, 2026 episode with actor Michael Douglas. Those listings confirm that the season was airing in early October. They do not show whether an episode aired after October 6, and an empty entry for a later date is not, by itself, evidence of a hiatus, cancellation, or preemption.

What the official pages do not establish
- The cause of any missing episode. ABC’s pages do not say why an episode might be absent on a given date.
- The next new-episode date after October 6, 2026. No reviewed ABC source lists it.
- Local changes. Station-specific preemptions or time changes are set by the local broadcaster and are not shown on the national pages.
Until ABC or your local station publishes a dated notice, treat the cause and the next date as unknown rather than assuming a particular explanation.
How to check the current schedule
- Open ABC’s episode guide for The View and look for the most recent dated entry.
- Check your local ABC affiliate’s website or program listings for that day’s air time, since preemptions are decided by the station.
- If you are looking for a specific episode after October 6, compare the network guide with your station’s schedule before concluding that it has not aired.
- Watch ABC’s show page for any dated notice about schedule changes.

Season 29 viewership, as ABC reported it
ABC’s September 4, 2026 announcement said Season 29 ranked first among broadcast daytime talk shows in households and total viewers for the ninth consecutive season, with a 1.74 household rating and 2.620 million total viewers. These figures come from ABC’s season-wrap reporting for the previous season, not from the current season, and they are ABC’s own presentation rather than an independent analysis.

The same announcement reported 226,000 Women 25–54 viewers, up from 209,000 the previous season, and 157,000 Women 18–49 viewers, the same as the previous season. ABC described the gains as 8%, but the 18–49 figure did not change, so the percentage applies only to the 25–54 group, if at all. Read the raw numbers rather than the summary percentage.
Ratings and streaming availability can change over time, so check ABC’s current pages before relying on any figure above.
