The Outlander: Blood of My Blood season-one finale was not scheduled for October 3, 2025: TechRadar reported that episode 10 would air on October 10, one week later. The schedule gap prompted speculation that the prequel might be timed around Outlander season 8, but no official explanation from STARZ or Amazon MGM+ had been reported when TechRadar published its story on October 3.
When did the finale air?
The question was about the week of October 3, 2025. TechRadar’s October 3 report said the season-one finale, episode 10, was due the following week, on October 10. STARZ’s season-one listing names the episode “Something Borrowed.” The gap was therefore a one-week wait for the finale, not evidence that the season had been cancelled or that the episode had no scheduled date.

Those dates describe the 2025 schedule, not a current interruption. The contemporaneous report is TechRadar’s October 3, 2025 article, and the episode title appears in STARZ’s season-one episode catalog.
Was there an official reason for the schedule gap?
Not in the information reported at the time. TechRadar said STARZ and Amazon MGM+ had not given an official explanation as of October 3, 2025. That is a time-qualified account of what had been reported then; it does not establish that no explanation was announced later.

- The American Revolution has arrived, and the Frasers must navigate the perils of war to protect what they have built. They learn that sometimes to defend what you love, you have to leave it behind. As the conflict draws them into the heart of this fight for independence, Jamie and Claire arefaced with impossible decisions that have the potential to tear their family apart.
There is no confirmed basis here to attribute the gap to production needs, a marketing plan, or a platform event. Those would be guesses, not established reasons.
Could the wait have been timed around Outlander season 8?
TechRadar’s proposed connection was speculation. Its theory drew on the episode 10 trailer’s train journey and the shows’ family timelines, and suggested the finale could set up a connection to the original Outlander, potentially involving adult Claire. Neither STARZ nor the production team was cited as confirming that theory.

- After the Revolution, Jamie and Claire return to a changed Fraser?s Ridge, facing new settlers and hard choices to protect their home and each other.
The chronology makes the idea possible, but does not prove it. TechRadar discussed an early-2026 window for Outlander season 8; STARZ later announced March 6, 2026 as its premiere date. That later date establishes when the next season was scheduled to begin, not why Blood of My Blood’s finale had a one-week gap in 2025. The announcement was republished by The Futon Critic in November 2025.

Sony describes Blood of My Blood as two love stories unfolding across time, from World War I to the eighteenth-century Scottish Highlands. That premise supplies context for the show’s parallel timelines, but does not substantiate a planned crossover or explain the 2025 scheduling gap.
