Taylor Swift said emotions had become “pretty heightened” for her and her team because the end of The Eras Tour had become real: Vancouver was the tour’s final city. She made the remark after completing six Toronto shows in November 2024, describing the finale as the close of an extraordinary chapter in her life.
What Swift said about the tour ending
In a social-media reflection reported by Rolling Stone UK and the Press Association via RTÉ, Swift explained why the final shows felt so emotional:
“The emotions have gotten pretty heightened for me and the rest of the team because it’s gotten extremely real for us: Our next city will be the last one of The Eras Tour, and the closing of the most extraordinary chapter of my life so far.”
Her stated reason was the approaching end of the tour and what it meant to her: a defining chapter of her life was about to close. The comment was not an announcement of a new tour or a description of a current event.

How the Toronto shows led to the finale
Swift made the reflection after a six-show Toronto run. In the November 2024 reporting, Vancouver was the next stop and the final city on the tour itinerary. The last shows were scheduled for December 6, 7 and 8, 2024, at BC Place.
Swift also praised Gracie Abrams, who joined her for a surprise performance of “Us” in Toronto. That was part of her reflection on the run, but her explanation for the heightened emotions centered on the tour reaching its end.

The reports appeared on November 26 and 27, 2024, before the Vancouver dates. Their descriptions of Vancouver as the next stop reflect that publication moment. Those finale dates have passed; Swift’s quote is best understood as a retrospective account of how she and her team felt as the tour’s final city approached.
