Why was there no new episode on September 17, 2025?
Comedy Central announced on September 17 that South Park would return on September 24. The announcement addressed the episode that had been scheduled for September 17 and quoted creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone: “Apparently when you do everything at the last minute sometimes you don’t get it done,” followed by “Tune in next week!” Comedy Central’s announcement also said new episodes would be available on Paramount+ and On Demand after their broadcast premiere.

That explanation was a last-minute production delay—not a permanent cancellation. The announcement also listed additional Wednesday broadcast dates: October 15, October 29, November 12, November 26 and December 10, 2025.
When did Season 27 Episode 5 come out?
Episode 5, titled “Conflict of Interest,” aired September 24, 2025. Paramount+ lists it as Season 27, Episode 5. Its synopsis says Kyle and Cartman clash after a prediction markets app becomes popular with their fellow students.

Is there a new South Park episode scheduled now?

As checked October 8, 2026, Comedy Central’s homepage advertises a new episode for October 14, 2026, at 10/9c, with next-day availability on Paramount+. Paramount+ says new episodes stream Thursdays.
