Rayne later wrote, “We were both uninvited due to all the negativity,” according to Reality TV World’s report of a Threads post shown in a circulating screenshot. The outlet also reported that Rayne said she had planned to sing Mariah Carey’s “Don’t Forget About Us” for Chidi and learned at the last minute that the song could not be performed on television. Reality TV World’s account does not establish that the song issue caused their absence, and neither detail is a production statement.
The distinction matters: the on-air announcement established that the couple would not attend; Rayne’s reported post supplied her account of why. The sources reviewed do not establish a public, production-confirmed rationale, so claims tying the decision to backlash, contracts, or song rights would be speculation.
