Verizon planned to remove One America News Network (OAN) from Fios on July 31, 2022, after the companies failed to agree on carriage terms. OAN then urged viewers to ask Comcast and Charter Spectrum to add the channel. Those events describe a 2022 dispute, not OAN’s current lineup: later reporting documented new distribution deals, while the available information does not establish every provider’s lineup as of October 8, 2026.
Why did Verizon drop OAN?
Verizon said OAN would leave Fios effective July 31, 2022, because the companies had not reached an agreement. In a statement reported at the time, Verizon said: “These negotiations were focused on economics, as they always are, but OAN failed to agree to fair terms.” That is Verizon’s account of the negotiations; the reported information does not independently establish the private terms or provide a corresponding response from OAN. CBS News reported that OAN did not respond to a request for comment.
Carriage agreements determine whether a network is included in a television provider’s service. When an agreement ends without a replacement, the provider can remove the channel. In this case, the announced Fios removal date was July 31, 2022. Ars Technica’s July 22, 2022 report covered the planned removal and OAN’s appeal to other providers.
What did OAN ask Comcast and Charter viewers to do?
OAN encouraged viewers to call Comcast and Charter Spectrum and ask those providers to carry the network. “Begs” is a colorful description of that appeal; the specific reported action was a request to customers to contact the companies. At the time of the July 2022 report, neither Comcast nor Charter Spectrum carried OAN, and Ars Technica reported that OAN had tried for years to secure carriage on both services.

Does Charter or another provider carry OAN now?
Distribution changed after the Verizon dispute. Cablefax Daily reported on August 27, 2025 that OAN launched on DISH in January 2025 and signed a multi-year carriage agreement with Charter in May 2025 for Spectrum TV Select and TV Stream plans.
The same Cablefax report said OAN was expected to launch on YouTube TV in the fourth quarter of 2025. That was a planned launch in the report; the information available here does not verify that it occurred. Nor does it establish a complete provider lineup as of October 8, 2026. Check the provider’s current channel lineup for your location and plan before relying on a dated report.

What the 2022 headline means today
The headline refers to a specific sequence: Verizon announced OAN’s departure from Fios in July 2022, and OAN asked Comcast and Charter Spectrum customers to request carriage. It should not be read as a current description of Charter’s relationship with OAN, because 2025 reporting documented a later Charter deal. The reported arrangements also do not, by themselves, confirm availability in every area or package.
