PerthNow’s 19 August 2019 profile placed Swanbourne-raised model Nicole Harrison among West Australian fashion editor Damien Woolnough’s top 10 WA models. The report pointed to her campaigns for Emporio Armani and Maybelline, other brand work and an emerging international profile; it did not present the list as an industry-wide ranking or explain how the ten were selected.
What the 2019 recognition meant
The “top 10” designation was attributed to Damien Woolnough, then fashion editor of The West Australian, and reported by PerthNow. It was an editor’s list, not a documented measure of the best models in Western Australia or a formal industry ranking.
The accessible PerthNow profile linked to the full list, but that list was subscriber-exclusive. The profile does not show the other names or state selection criteria, so it establishes Harrison’s inclusion as reported, not the basis for comparing her with other models.
Why the article highlighted Harrison
Campaign work
PerthNow named Emporio Armani and Maybelline campaigns, along with work for Goop, Jets and Italy’s Kiko cosmetics. The profile did not identify specific products, campaign dates or the nature of each engagement, so these names are best understood as brand associations reported in 2019 rather than endorsements.

It also reported that she was on the casting list for Victoria’s Secret. Being on a casting list does not establish that she was selected, walked a show or became a Victoria’s Secret model.

What the source does—and does not—establish
The contemporaneous profile supports a concise explanation of the headline: Woolnough included Harrison in his ten-model list, and PerthNow cited her campaign work and international connections as context. It does not provide an interview quotation, an independent career chronology, current representation, or present-day career and social-media details.
