Misfits Boxing president Mams Taylor said KSI kept his equity stake but was not suited to be CEO at that time because his attention was divided among other projects. Taylor said the board made the decision and that Andrew Tate was considered a good fit. He also said KSI was unhappy with the change, which Taylor described as real even though its public presentation leaned on entertainment and storytelling.
Why Taylor said Misfits changed CEOs
In an interview on The Ariel Helwani Show, Taylor said KSI remained an equity partner but did not, in Taylor’s view, have the focus for the CEO role at that time. He pointed to KSI’s work in music, Prime, YouTube, Britain’s Got Talent and other ventures. Taylor said he wanted KSI to enjoy those commitments and that the board made the decision. Did KSI lose his ownership stake?
Not according to Taylor. He said KSI remained an equity partner. Taylor did not say KSI had been removed as an owner, so the CEO change should not be described as KSI losing his stake.
