Matthew Underwood, who played Logan Reese on Zoey 101, was arrested in Port St. Lucie, Florida, on April 27, 2012, after police executed a search warrant at his home. Contemporaneous reports said he faced misdemeanor charges involving marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a 17-year-old who was present. The arrest was not a conviction; later reports described a no-contest plea and probation, followed by a separate arrest on a probation-violation charge.
Why was Matthew Underwood arrested in April 2012?
TCPalm reported that Port St. Lucie police arrested Underwood on April 27, 2012, after executing a search warrant at his home. The outlet reported that Underwood was 22 and that a 17-year-old girl was present. It said the charges were possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. These were reported charges, not proof that the allegations were established in court. TCPalm’s report on the arrest is the contemporaneous account.

What did Underwood say about the search?
Underwood told TCPalm he believed the search was connected to his plan to open a hookah lounge. In the same report, a police spokesman said the planned business had nothing to do with the search. Those are competing attributed accounts: the report does not establish the warrant’s full investigative basis. TCPalm’s coverage summarizes both.
What happened after the arrest?
Reported plea and sentence
In July 2012, TMZ reported that Underwood pleaded no contest to the three charges. TMZ said the sentence included 12 months’ probation, a substance-abuse evaluation, a victim-impact-panel requirement and court costs. The underlying plea and sentencing documents are not available in the reporting cited here, so these terms should be understood as TMZ’s account rather than independently verified court-record details. Separate November arrest
TCPalm reported that Underwood was arrested again on November 7, 2012, on a misdemeanor probation-violation charge. That is a separate event from the April arrest. The report does not establish how the later matter was resolved, so the allegation should not be described as an adjudicated violation or given a final outcome.
