Kim Kardashian wore a ring described in news coverage as a 22-carat diamond ring when she testified at the Paris Assize Court on May 13, 2025, in the case over the 2016 robbery. She later explained that wearing diamonds was part of reclaiming agency after the attack had changed how she dressed and what she kept at home. The ring’s maker and independently verified value have not been established by the available reporting.
What happened at the Paris trial
Kardashian testified in Paris on May 13, 2025, in the trial concerning the October 2016 robbery in which jewelry was stolen from her. Hindustan Times reported that she described fearing she would die during the attack. Those details are accounts of her reported courtroom testimony; an official transcript is not available in the sources cited here.
Coverage said the courtroom testimony itself was not filmed. Viewers later saw preparation and post-testimony scenes in The Kardashians, which should not be confused with footage of the testimony in court.
How many carats was the ring?
Hindustan Times described the ring Kardashian wore at court as 22 carats and the stolen ring as 20 carats. Its account of the insurance-payout connection cites Page Six; the available reporting does not independently establish the replacement ring’s purchase source, maker, model, setting, or current value.

The other jewelry reported as part of her court appearance is separate from the ring. The News International reported a necklace attributed to Samer Halimeh New York as 52.17 total carats, with 80 diamonds and a reported value of $3 million. Grazia Middle East credited her with a Briony Raymond ear cuff and reported an $8,000 value. These are secondary-source outfit details, not independently verified current valuations, and neither identifies the ring’s designer.
Why did she wear diamonds to court?
In an account of a December 4, 2025 episode of The Kardashians, The News International reproduced Kardashian’s explanation that she wanted to reclaim her power and choose how she dressed. The article quotes her saying, “They’re not gonna take my power,” and that she wanted to be who she wanted to be after feeling that the robbery had taken that away from her.

She also described the longer effect of the attack: “For years, I didn’t wear diamonds … it changed the way that I operate in my home, for what I keep in my home.” The same report reproduces her blunt remark that she wanted to “taunt” the people who robbed her by wearing what she wanted. These are published reproductions of television dialogue, not quotations checked against an episode transcript.
That explanation frames the ring as a personal choice connected to the robbery’s impact, rather than simply a display of wealth. It does not establish who made the ring or what it is worth.
