But Nicole did not confirm that interpretation: according to Sporting News, she later connected her choice of song to a childhood memory.

Sporting News reported that Nicole shared an Instagram Reel on October 31, 2025, recreating Toni Braxton’s look from the “He Wasn’t Man Enough” music video. The outlet quoted her caption as, “She’s an icon. She’s a legend. She’s @tonibraxton circa 2000. #Halloween25.” Sporting News also reported that Braxton commented, “You killed it mama!” Sporting News
Why fans read the post as a dig
“He Wasn’t Man Enough” is a breakup song, and fans connected its lyrics to Nicole’s past relationship with Kelce and his relationship with Swift. That was an audience interpretation, not a confirmed statement of Nicole’s target or intent. The post itself, as described in the coverage, does not establish that she meant it as a message to either of them. Sporting News
Nicole’s reported explanation for choosing the song
On the November 3, 2025 episode of The Pre-Game With Kayla Nicole, Nicole reportedly recalled a childhood friend named Taylor and the friend’s mother playing the song. Sporting News quoted Nicole saying, “I had a white best friend. The relationship timeline behind the speculation
Sporting News reported that Nicole and Kelce dated on and off from 2017 to 2022. Kelce and Swift went public with their relationship in 2023 and announced their engagement in August 2025.
