July 3, 2025, gave One Piece fans two reasons to celebrate: a Dodgers stadium promotion built around the series, and birthday art for Nami shared by the official account. The date has passed, so the game-day giveaways and show are best understood as announced parts of a past event—not as offers still available.
What was One Piece Night at Dodger Stadium?
The Los Angeles Dodgers and Toei Animation announced ONE PIECE Night for July 3, 2025, at Dodger Stadium, during the Dodgers’ 7:10 p.m. game against the Chicago White Sox. The event was a one-day promotion pairing the baseball game with series-themed giveaways and a planned postgame drone show. Toei Animation’s announcement described One Piece as a franchise whose Japanese television series premiered in 1999 and which had 15 feature films.
Lon Rosen, the Dodgers’ Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, said, “This exciting partnership between the Dodgers and Toei Animation will bring a fun-filled event to Dodger Stadium,” adding, “It’s great to showcase ONE PIECE, one of the most popular franchises in the world, to the best fan base in the world.” Lisa Yamatoya, Toei Animation Inc.’s Senior Director, Head of Marketing, called it “a very special one-day promotion” and said the planned experience would include a “ONE PIECE drone show after the game.”
What giveaways and activities were announced?
Co-branded straw hats
The Dodgers’ initial announcement said co-branded straw hats would be distributed to the first 40,000 ticketed fans, while supplies lasted. That figure was the announced giveaway limit, not a reported attendance total or confirmation that every eligible fan received a hat.

Luffy Dodgers card
In a June 3, 2025, follow-up, Toei announced a limited-edition ONE PIECE CARD GAME card featuring Luffy in Dodgers attire, with original art by Eiichiro Oda. The announced distribution was at stadium activation spaces for ticketed attendees, one card per person, first come, first served, while supplies lasted. The announcement describes a limited event giveaway, not a retail product. Toei’s follow-up also describes the card game and its play format.
Postgame drone show
A character-themed drone show after the game was part of the announced program. The official event announcements available here are advance notices; they do not independently establish whether the show or other planned activities ultimately took place.
Was July 3 also Nami’s birthday?
Yes. ORICON reported that the official One Piece X account posted birthday art for Nami on July 3, 2025. That made the date a separate, online celebration alongside the stadium promotion. ORICON’s 2025 report also put the series’ circulation at more than 510 million copies; that is ORICON’s reported figure, not an event attendance measure. Read ORICON’s report.

| July 3 occasion | What it involved | Access and availability |
|---|---|---|
| ONE PIECE Night | Dodgers–White Sox game promotion, announced hat and card giveaways, and planned postgame drone show | In person at Dodger Stadium; giveaways were limited to ticketed attendees and supplies. The event is over. |
| Nami’s birthday | Birthday illustration posted by the official account, as reported by ORICON | Online social post; the report concerns July 3, 2025, not a current event announcement. |
The stadium promotion was a ticketed, location-specific experience; the birthday art was a social-media moment available online. Both explain why the date stood out for fans, but neither should be mistaken for a current giveaway or upcoming event.
