At the start of the episode, moderator Whoopi Goldberg addressed the changed lineup and introduced Huntsman as a former cohost returning to the table. Lindsay also joined the panel. The lineup was reported by Joey Nolfi for Entertainment Weekly, in a story syndicated by Yahoo.

The Entertainment Weekly report said Goldberg had told viewers the previous day that Haines was sick.
Alyssa Farah Griffin
Griffin had said on Monday’s Behind the Table podcast that she would likely miss the Tuesday episode for an appointment related to her ongoing IVF treatment, according to the report.

The report did not give a reason for Behar’s absence. It said The View had been asked for comment, but included no response. There is no basis in that account to infer why she was away.
What did Abby Huntsman say about returning?
Huntsman said she received the call the day before the episode. Recalling the producer’s request, she said, “Brian was like, ‘We’re in a pinch,’” and described coming back as “kind of like déjà vu.” She also remarked that Donald Trump was president again and asked what had changed since her previous time on the show.
