Before the 2025 game, Kelce discussed possible outfits on the Kelce brothers’ podcast. He considered a yellow “Big Yeti” shirt and podcast merchandise, then said he thought he would wear a “King Cake Season” shirt. Bustle described the shirt as featuring Mardi Gras imagery and the phrase “Any way you slice it.” Kelce told the outlet, “I like it. It’s got a good feel.” Bustle’s report is the direct source for the shirt description and his comment.
Why the outfit seemed diplomatic
The diplomacy is an interpretation of the shirt’s neutral team signaling, not a stated intention attributed to Kelce. The Eagles were playing the Chiefs, where his brother Travis played. Jason, a retired Eagles center, had ties to Philadelphia, but the regional Mardi Gras theme did not overtly display either team’s colors. Bustle characterized it as a “neutral, yet vibrant choice” for his divided fandom.

Which outfit is the “most diplomatic”?
That label fits Jason’s 2025 shirt if “diplomatic” means avoiding an obvious choice between the two teams while still wearing something festive. Donna’s 2023 jacket expressed support for both sides directly; Jason’s 2018 parade costume belonged to a Philadelphia celebration. The sources establish their different designs and occasions, not an objective ranking of which look is best.
