YouTube’s published Super Chat eligibility rules do not list 24/7 streaming as a reason the feature is unavailable. Check the channel’s eligibility and restrictions, then the specific stream’s settings—especially its visibility, audience designation, fundraiser status, and live chat. Those are documented causes; continuous duration alone is not an established one.
Check whether the problem affects one stream or the whole channel
Start in YouTube Studio. If Super Chat is missing across the channel, investigate account-level eligibility, location, accepted terms, and channel restrictions. If it is missing on just one broadcast, focus first on that stream’s settings. This distinction follows YouTube’s separate channel- and video-level requirements.
Look for the Supers tab or card in the Earn section of Studio. YouTube’s Super Chat & Super Stickers eligibility, availability, and policies page lists the feature’s requirements and video-level exclusions.
Check channel-level eligibility and access
- Fan-funding requirements: Confirm the channel meets YouTube’s requirements for fan-funding features. YouTube’s monetization overview lists Super Chat prerequisites, including being at least 18 and living in an eligible country or region.
- Location: The creator must be in a location where Super Chat is available. Check YouTube’s current supported-location information rather than assuming the feature is available everywhere.
- Terms: Confirm the applicable terms, including the Commerce Product Module, have been accepted and are being followed.
- Restrictions: Review account and channel status in Studio for notices or restrictions that could affect live features. YouTube says live streaming requires channel verification and no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days; policy-related restrictions may also affect access to live features.

Check the individual stream’s settings
YouTube lists these stream or video conditions as reasons Super Chat and Super Stickers are unavailable:
- Visibility is unlisted or private: Check the active stream’s visibility setting.
- The stream is age-restricted: Review its restriction status in Studio.
- The audience is set to Made for Kids: Check the audience designation. YouTube’s audience-setting guide describes feature restrictions for Made for Kids content.
- The stream is a YouTube Giving fundraiser: This is another listed exclusion.
- Live chat or comments are turned off: YouTube says Super Chat and Super Stickers are unavailable when live chat or comments are disabled. Check the chat controls for the specific broadcast.
These exclusions concern the individual video or stream. If the channel has Supers access but one broadcast does not, check these settings before treating it as a channel-wide eligibility problem.

Make sure you are viewing the live chat, not a replay
Super Chat is a paid message highlighted in live chat during a livestream or Premiere. A replay posted as a video after the broadcast is not the active live-chat experience. Confirm that the stream is currently live and that you are viewing its live chat surface. YouTube’s published eligibility list does not identify continuous 24/7 operation as an exclusion. That means duration alone is not an established cause in the cited rules—not that an account-specific or newly introduced restriction is impossible. If the documented checks look correct, review any current Studio notices and the stream’s status rather than assuming the loop duration is responsible.
