Jackman and Furness announced their separation in September 2023 after 27 years of marriage, according to the Associated Press. Their joint statement said they had shared “almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage” and were shifting toward individual growth. It also said their family remained their highest priority.
By May 2025, Furness had filed for divorce, but a judge’s sign-off was still required at the time, The New Daily reported. PerthNow later described the divorce as official in May. The cited reports do not independently establish the precise date the divorce was legally finalized.

What is reported about Jackman and Foster—and what is not established
Jackman and Foster co-starred in Broadway’s The Music Man, which ran from December 2021 to January 2023. PerthNow reported that both were married during the production and that rumors of an affair circulated. Jackman’s November post about Foster is distinct from a May 2025 Instagram clip reported by The New Daily. That earlier video showed Jackman skipping rope onstage and carried the caption “FINALLY,” with NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye” playing. It appeared hours after news of Furness’s divorce filing and statement, but it was not the Café Carlyle post discussed in PerthNow’s November report.
