Gabby Windey said she missed The Bachelorette: Before the First Rose because she was out of town and busy. She also said she was happy the former leads could reunite, and that she thought Taylor Frankie Paul would “crush it” as the planned next lead.
Why did Gabby Windey miss the reunion?
Windey gave a scheduling explanation when asked about her absence: “I was out of town,” she said, adding, “I’ve just been so busy, so it is hard to make everything work.” She said she was glad the former leads could get together: “That’s amazing and I am so happy for them to just get together again.” Read the interview.

What reunion was she invited to?
The special, titled The Bachelorette: Before the First Rose, was filmed in November 2025 ahead of Taylor Frankie Paul’s planned season. TV Insider/Swooon reported that Windey was one of six former leads absent from the taping. That count is the outlet’s report about this event, not a broader franchise statistic. See the reunion report.
What did Windey think of Taylor Frankie Paul?
Asked about Paul as the intended lead, Windey said she thought she “will crush it.” That was her positive opinion of Paul; it does not establish a reason for Windey’s absence beyond the scheduling explanation she gave.

- In this racy, razor sharp comedy a group of old friends reunite to throw the perfect bachelorette party, but instead end up in a wild and hilarious race against the clock to save their friends wedding.
Did Taylor Frankie Paul’s season air?
No. ABC/Disney announced on March 19, 2026, three days before the season’s planned premiere, that it would not move forward with the season “at this time.” The announcement followed the release of video from a 2023 incident. A Disney Entertainment Television spokesperson said the network’s focus was “on supporting the family.” Read ABC/Disney’s announcement coverage.
The Los Angeles Times reported that the planned season was paused, while its eventual release or re-editing remained unsettled at the time of that report. Its future disposition should not be treated as settled. Read the Los Angeles Times report.
