Does Chief Boden die or leave Chicago Fire?
Boden does not die. In the Season 12 finale, “Never Say Goodbye,” which aired May 22, 2024, he returned and won the position of Deputy Commissioner. The promotion takes him away from leading Firehouse 51 day to day while leaving the character alive in the show’s world. TVLine’s finale report
