Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →A YouTube stream being private should restrict who can watch it; privacy alone should not stop IRL Pro from sending video. First check whether IRL Pro is still broadcasting and whether YouTube Studio shows an incoming signal. If the signal is present, troubleshoot viewer access. If it is missing, check the stream URL and key, protocol, key status, bitrate, and network. The exact cause depends on which part of the stream has stopped.
First identify what “stops streaming” means
There are separate states: IRL Pro can be sending video, YouTube can be receiving it, and viewers can or cannot access the event. A stream page that a viewer cannot open does not necessarily mean the encoder stopped.
- IRL Pro stops or keeps reconnecting: Check the app’s broadcast status and connection settings.
- YouTube Studio loses the incoming signal: Check the stream URL/key, protocol, key status, bitrate, and network.
- Studio still receives a signal, but a viewer cannot watch: Check the event’s visibility and whether that viewer has permission.
- The event ends while Studio shows a healthy feed: Look for a warning or enforcement notice in YouTube Studio.
How private, unlisted, and public affect access
YouTube treats privacy as an audience and access setting. A private stream is restricted to its owner and people specifically selected to watch it. An unlisted stream can be watched by people with its link; a public stream is broadly visible. A person who lacks permission may be unable to watch a private stream even if IRL Pro is still sending video. See YouTube’s guidance on changing video privacy settings.
If YouTube Studio shows an incoming signal, verify the event’s visibility and make sure a private viewer is signed into the account that was granted access. For link-based testing, unlisted may be more suitable than private. Choose the setting based on who should be able to watch, not as a way to repair a missing encoder signal.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Check the incoming signal and connection
- Open YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room for the event and check whether it shows an incoming signal or preview. YouTube’s encoder instructions say, “To end the stream, stop sending content from your encoder.” That distinguishes encoder transmission from whether an audience can view the event. See Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
- If there is no incoming signal, replace the complete stream URL/key. Copy the current value from YouTube or the streaming service configured for the event, then replace the old value in IRL Pro. IRL Pro’s documentation identifies an outdated URL/key after key rotation or a region/protocol change as a troubleshooting issue. Changing the key or its configuration can invalidate the former value. See IRL Pro documentation.
- Confirm the protocol matches. Check the protocol selected in IRL Pro against the one configured for the stream. A mismatch can prevent the app and YouTube from connecting correctly. If you recently changed region or protocol, recheck the URL/key as well.
- Check that the key is active. Make sure it has not been revoked or replaced in the service configuration, and that IRL Pro is using the current key.
- Check bitrate and upload connection. If the connection cannot sustain the configured bitrate, reduce it and test again. YouTube recommends adequate upload bandwidth and warns, “A disruption on your connectivity could mean a broken stream.” See YouTube’s streaming tips.
If YouTube ends the event despite a healthy feed
Check Live Control Room and YouTube Studio for warnings or strikes. YouTube says third-party content that remains after a warning can lead to a temporary interruption or termination, and a copyright or Community Guidelines strike can terminate a live stream. Privacy is not evidence that either occurred; use the platform’s notice to identify the reason. See YouTube’s live-streaming restrictions.
Choose a visibility setting for a private test
Set the event’s visibility deliberately in YouTube Studio. Use private when access should be limited to the owner and selected people, unlisted when people with the link should be able to watch, or public when the stream should be broadly visible. You can also review an archived stream’s visibility afterward. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived; this is a platform rule, and archive availability and controls should be checked in Studio. See YouTube’s help for finding and managing live stream archives.

Or let it run in the cloud
If your goal is to keep uploaded documentary footage playing on YouTube 24/7, StreamNeo is a different option from diagnosing an IRL Pro broadcast: upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. The cloud keeps the stream running without a computer or home connection staying on. It accepts uploads as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot; it can recover automatically if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo plays uploaded videos; it does not broadcast a camera feed. See StreamNeo, or start the free first day.
