PerthNow reported on 2 October 2024 that Australian TikTok creator Chloe Baradinsky described wearing a silk two-piece set to work when a colleague compared it to pyjamas. The story relays her account of the exchange and a handful of mixed online reactions; its “shocks internet” framing is not evidence of a measured or representative response.
What PerthNow reported
In its 2 October 2024 article, PerthNow reported that Baradinsky recounted a colleague saying, “Oo, I didn’t realise we were wearing our pyjamas into work.” The colleague’s remark is reported through Baradinsky’s account, not independently recorded in the article.
PerthNow also attributed this response to Baradinsky: “Like, excuse me, this is a silk set.” The outlet described the outfit as a silk two-piece worn to work. The embedded TikTok did not display on the opened page because of cookie settings, so the article’s account is the available basis for the exchange.
Why the outfit split opinion
PerthNow relayed comments from people who thought the matching set looked like sleepwear and others who said the pieces could work separately or suggested styling changes. Some commenters compared the look to Peter Alexander, a sleepwear retailer; the article did not identify that retailer as the outfit’s source.
