In a social media post reported on August 6, 2025, Brooke explained that she wanted to honor her father privately, in a way that felt genuine and close to him. How she honored him instead
Brooke described taking her children to the beach and putting them in the salt water her father loved. She associated the beach with their connection. In another line from her post, she recalled: “The only thing missing today was him in his pop-up lawn chair while watching the waves and the sunset.” TMZ
Her beach remembrance was her own family’s private tribute; it was not described as a replacement funeral or a broader family event.
