What Harrington said about her decision
Harrington had appeared as a guest in the show’s first two seasons and as a friend in season 3, according to Us Weekly’s account of her career on the series. When she confirmed she would not be back for season 4, she tied the choice directly to her household’s needs rather than to any dispute with the production or cast.
Family came first after Hart’s diagnosis
Harrington said Hart’s recent diagnosis had brought the family closer, and that she wanted to help him navigate the world. She also said she needed to devote time to getting him into programs and therapy. Those are the reasons she gave publicly; the interview does not go further into the family’s private medical circumstances, and this article does not either.

A decision she said she had wrestled with
She described the choice as hard and said she had gone back and forth on it for months before settling on it. Her account frames the decision as a considered one reached over time, not a sudden exit.

Was Harrington asked to leave?
Nothing in the Us Weekly interview says she was removed from the show. Her framing is that she chose not to return for season 4. Readers searching for a firing or a production dispute will not find that account in this source.

Could she return to RHOSLC?
Harrington left the door open in general terms, saying “never say never,” but she did not announce a plan to come back. She tied any reconsideration to the family’s situation settling down. Treat a return as a possibility she mentioned in 2023, not as an arrangement that has been confirmed.
