Hunter McVey plays Blue Bennings, the previously unknown son of Chris O’Donnell’s character, Captain Don Hart, on 9-1-1: Nashville. Blue’s return also brings a family connection to firefighter Ryan Hart: Ryan is Don’s other son and Blue’s half-brother.
Who plays Chris O’Donnell’s son on 9-1-1: Nashville?
Hunter McVey plays Blue Bennings. The “son” in the question refers to the character Don Hart, played by Chris O’Donnell—not to O’Donnell’s real-life family. TVLine reported that the show’s official trailer reveals Blue as Don’s secret son, and ABC’s cast listing confirms McVey as Blue and O’Donnell as Don.
TVLine’s character guide describes Blue as a haunted bad boy who becomes a firefighter after his stripping gig takes a dramatic turn.
How Blue, Don and Ryan are related
Blue Bennings and Don Hart
Blue is the biological son of Captain Don Hart, though Blue did not know who his father was. ABC describes Don as a rugged fire captain and rodeo rider who runs Nashville’s busiest firehouse with his beloved son.
