The other 16 of the 18 announced recruits did not complete the course. “Did not complete” is more accurate than saying they all “failed”: people left through different routes, and a verified reason is not available for every recruit.
Who completed the season 4 course?
Gia Giudice and Shawn Johnson completed the course and were named winners. In its report on the finale, which aired November 20, 2025, TV Insider reported that the Directing Staff told them they had completed it. The show names two winners rather than one overall champion.
Who reached the final day, and what happened?
Five recruits entered the final day: Kody Brown, Andrew East, Shawn Johnson, Brianna LaPaglia, and Gia Giudice. The finale report identifies three of the five as non-completers:
- Andrew East was disqualified during the final interrogation.
- Kody Brown was disqualified.
- Brianna LaPaglia left the course at the last minute during the interrogation.
These are distinct outcomes: a Directing Staff disqualification is not the same as leaving the course voluntarily.
Which early exits were reported?
An October 2, 2025 Us Weekly season recap documented several early departures:
- Brittany Cartwright left hours into day 1.
- Eva Marcille was removed on day 2 after a health scare.
- Teresa Giudice chose to withdraw on day 2.
The recap predates the finale, so it does not provide a full season-end account. The finale reporting and the early recap do not establish a verified individual reason for every recruit who did not complete the course.
Who were the 18 season 4 recruits?
FOX’s August 6, 2025 announcement listed these 18 recruits:
- Kody Brown
- Brittany Cartwright
- Randall Cobb
- Eric Decker
- Jessie James Decker
- Andrew East
- Shawn Johnson East
- Mark Estes
- Gia Giudice
- Teresa Giudice
- Chanel Iman
- Brianna LaPaglia
- Johnny Manziel
- Eva Marcille
- Ravi V. Patel
- Christie Pearce Rampone
- Jussie Smollett
- Nick Young
The roster counts Shawn Johnson East among the recruits; finale coverage refers to her as Shawn Johnson. With two reported completers out of the 18 announced recruits, 16 did not complete the course. That count does not establish how or when each of those 16 left.

What “passed” and “failed” mean here
In this context, “passed” means completing the course and being named a winner. “Failed” can flatten different outcomes into one label: recruits could withdraw, be removed for health reasons, or be disqualified by the Directing Staff. For the season 4 results, the available reporting supports specific exit details for some contestants, not a complete person-by-person explanation for all non-completers.

FOX announced season 4 on August 6, 2025, and scheduled its premiere for September 25 on FOX, with next-day Hulu availability at the time of the announcement. FOX describes the format as celebrities undertaking demanding training led by former Special Forces operatives. Its current series page rates the show TV-14; the page currently says no season 4 episodes are available there, so it does not confirm present streaming access.
