Spoilers for Episode 5 and the series finale. The initially unnamed Teen in Agatha All Along, played by Joe Locke, is revealed in Episode 5 to be Billy, Wanda Maximoff’s son. By the end of the series, he is associated with the superhero identity Wiccan. That makes him a close match for Marvel Comics’ Wiccan—but the show’s Billy and comic-book Wiccan are not the same continuity or origin story.
Who is Teen in Agatha All Along?
Teen is Billy, Wanda Maximoff’s son. Showrunner Jac Schaeffer confirmed the Episode 5 reveal in an October 14, 2024 interview with TheWrap. The series initially withholds his identity, and the completed story associates Billy with the name Wiccan.
At the start, the series introduces Agatha as powerless and presents Teen as a suspicious goth who helps free her from a distorted spell. Disney’s description says he asks her to take him down the Witches’ Road, a magical gauntlet promising a witch what she is missing. The show premiered on Disney+ with two episodes on September 18, 2024, according to Disney Plus Press.
Why does Teen’s identity stay hidden?
A magical sigil conceals Teen’s identity within the story. The Los Angeles Times’ October 15, 2024 explainer describes how clues and red herrings surround the mystery before Episode 5 unmasks him. The sigil is both a plot device and a reason characters cannot simply identify him by name.

How is this Teen connected to Wiccan?
The resemblance is more than a visual or thematic comparison: Marvel’s official comics profile identifies Wiccan as William “Billy” Kaplan, a young magician and Young Avenger who explores his heritage as the reincarnation of one of Scarlet Witch and Vision’s twins. The profile and Wiccan character page provide the comics reference point for the show’s reveal.

The names and origin details belong to different continuities. In the comics, Wiccan is Billy Kaplan. In the television series, Joe Locke’s character is first called Teen and is revealed as Wanda’s son. Marvel’s comic-book account of Billy Kaplan’s identity and heritage should not be treated as a scene-by-scene explanation of the show’s story.
