Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Haliey Welch became the “Hawk Tuah Girl” after a sexually explicit answer in a 2024 street interview became one of the internet’s fastest-moving memes. She then tried to turn that attention into something more durable: branded merchandise, the Talk Tuah comedy-interview podcast, an animal-welfare initiative, and a creator business.
Two parts of the story require particular caution. The viral claim that Donald Trump had canceled a Talk Tuah appearance was not verified and was tied to a fabricated or unsupported screenshot. Separately, the HAWK-token controversy led to federal investor litigation, but the allegations should not be written as proven misconduct or a final court finding.
From a viral clip to a creator business
Welch’s first post-viral strategy was not complicated, but it was effective: make the phrase recognizable, put it on merchandise, and keep the audience engaged through appearances and content. Public storefronts have documented Hawk Tuah-themed T-shirts, caps, stickers, memorabilia, and other novelty products. That does not mean every item sold online is official or licensed, so shoppers should check the seller rather than assume that any “Hawk Tuah” listing represents Welch’s business.
Readers looking for a novelty item can browse Hawk Tuah-themed T-shirts and novelty merch, but the marketplace label should be treated as a search description—not proof of endorsement, licensing, or authenticity.
Talk Tuah and the comedy-interview career
The most substantial attempt to turn Welch’s fame into a lasting entertainment career was Talk Tuah, a podcast launched with Betr in September 2024. Its first episode featured comedian Whitney Cummings. The format combined candid celebrity conversations, comedy, games, and creator-style discussion, giving Welch a role that was broader than repeating the original meme.

The guest list showed how the program positioned her within the podcast and internet-entertainment ecosystem. Episodes featured personalities including Jake Paul, Holly Madison, Wiz Khalifa, Mark Cuban, Dasha, Hannah Berner, and Josh Richards. The mix was deliberate: established entertainers, entrepreneurs, online creators, and public figures who could bring their own audiences to the show.
That distinction matters when describing Welch’s career. The available evidence supports calling her a podcast host, interviewer, and comedy-content creator. It does not support inventing a stand-up-comedy résumé, acting credits, or a conventional television career. Her documented move was from viral personality to creator-led interview programming.
To sample the format, readers can listen to Talk Tuah and comedy-interview podcasts through the podcast or video platform where the episodes are currently available. Availability can change, so a platform listing should be checked before publication or recommendation.

A viral screenshot claimed that an NPR article reported Donald Trump had canceled a planned appearance on Talk Tuah because of a second assassination attempt in Florida. The supposed NPR report was not found in NPR’s records, and the claim was treated as fabricated or unsupported. There is no verified evidence in the researched material that Trump appeared on the podcast or was booked for an episode and then canceled.
Some third-party sellers and meme-makers have paired Hawk Tuah imagery with Trump or MAGA imagery. That is not the same as a verified political position by Welch. Political merchandise made by unaffiliated sellers, internet jokes, rumors, and a subject’s own public statements should be kept separate. On the evidence available here, Welch should not be described as a Trump supporter, campaign surrogate, or official political personality.
The accurate summary is: despite online rumors, there is no verified evidence that Donald Trump appeared on or was scheduled to appear on Talk Tuah; the most widely circulated cancellation claim came from a debunked or unsupported screenshot.
The HAWK token controversy
The HAWK cryptocurrency launch became the most serious complication in Welch’s rapid rise. The token connected her personal brand and the audience around Talk Tuah to a highly speculative digital-asset project. Federal litigation brought by investors alleges that Welch’s celebrity and audience were used to market the token and that buyers suffered losses after its launch.

Those allegations must not be presented as established findings. The complaint and related legal materials describe investors’ claims and the procedural posture of the case; they do not, by themselves, prove that Welch committed fraud, that the token was definitively an illegal security, or that she personally orchestrated misconduct. Terms such as “investors alleged,” “the complaint claims,” and “the lawsuit accuses” are more accurate than “she ran a scam” or “the court found a securities violation.”
The controversy is nevertheless important to Welch’s biography because it illustrates the risks of attaching a fast-growing creator brand to a financial product. A meme audience can become a marketing audience almost overnight, but that does not make followers informed investors or turn a speculative token into a conventional endorsement.
Welch’s own Talk Tuah catalog includes a 2025 episode described as a discussion of the crypto situation. That supports saying she addressed the controversy publicly. It does not resolve the disputed facts or substitute for a court ruling.

It is fair to describe Paws Across America as a stated charitable or animal-welfare effort. It would be misleading to infer audited impact, exact donation totals, or nonprofit status without independent documentation. As with the merchandise, the responsible approach is to describe what the initiative says it does rather than assign outcomes that have not been established.

Welch’s documented public career includes a viral 2024 street-interview moment, branded merchandise, appearances, the Talk Tuah comedy-interview podcast, an animal-welfare initiative, and a controversial association with the HAWK token. Together, those developments show how quickly internet fame can become a business identity.
It is harder to make a definitive claim about her current career status without a freshly verified update. Podcast schedules, distribution arrangements, merchandise catalogs, legal proceedings, and new ventures can all change. The safest current description is that Welch developed a creator-media career around the “Hawk Tuah” brand; claims about an active show schedule, a new permanent role, precise earnings, or a major new entertainment credit should be checked immediately before publication.

Why the “Hawk Tuah Girl” story matters
Haliey Welch became famous for a few sexually explicit words, but the larger story is what happened next. A short clip became a commercial phrase, a podcast title, an interview platform, a charitable identity, and a high-risk extension into cryptocurrency.
Best Value
- XLR MICROPHONE: requires an audio interface or mixer with an XLR input, not a USB microphone
- PODCAST-READY SOUND: broadcast-quality dynamic capsule tuned for speech, rejects room noise in untreated spaces
- BUILT-IN POP PROTECTION: internal pop filter and shock mounting tame plosives and desk thumps without extra accessories
- ALL-METAL BUILD: robust body designed to sit on air for years, matches the RØDECaster family
- IN THE BOX: PodMic with integrated swing mount, connects to any XLR interface, mixer or RØDECaster
That makes Welch a useful case study in the modern creator economy. Viral fame can provide instant reach, but reach is not the same as a durable career, a verified political affiliation, or financial expertise. The Trump rumor shows how quickly unsupported claims can attach themselves to a meme celebrity. The HAWK litigation shows the potential cost when a creator’s audience is connected to a speculative product. Between those extremes, Talk Tuah represents the more conventional attempt to turn attention into an entertainment business.
