Allison Hsu is the woman Simu Liu became engaged to in 2025, and they are now reported to have married in France. Global News reported on October 6, 2026, citing People’s confirmation and noting that TMZ first reported the wedding. Hsu has been described in earlier coverage as a music-industry digital-marketing executive.
Who is Allison Hsu?
Hsu is a music-industry digital-marketing executive. A February 2024 TIME profile described her as a senior manager in digital marketing at Interscope Records. CNA later referred to her as a marketing director in its May 2025 engagement coverage, and in December 2025 quoted Liu describing her as a digital-marketing executive who works in music. These are descriptions from those publication dates, not confirmation of her current title or employer.

Are Simu Liu and Allison Hsu married?
They are reported to have married in France over the weekend preceding Global News’s October 6, 2026 report. Global News attributed confirmation to People and said TMZ first reported the wedding. The coverage cited here does not include a direct wedding announcement from Liu or Hsu, so the status is best described as reported rather than as a statement from the couple.
How did Liu and Hsu get engaged?
The couple became publicly linked in late 2022. Liu announced their engagement on social media in May 2025 after proposing during a trip to Paris. CNA reported that his post showed them in front of the Eiffel Tower and included the caption “Us forever” with ring and heart emojis.

What did Taylor Swift have to do with the engagement?
In a later television appearance, Liu said Hsu is a Swiftie and that he contacted Taylor Swift through her publicist. Swift sent a short congratulatory video, which Liu played for Hsu. CNA reported Liu’s account and quoted his pre-wedding description: “My fiancee works in music, she’s a digital marketing executive, and she grew up a Swiftie.”
