Ryan Seacrest introduced his puppy Olio in an Instagram caption in February 2024, then joked about the dog’s name and personality during a conversation with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos. He also shared how his older dog, Georgia, reacted to the newcomer.
Who is Ryan Seacrest’s new puppy Olio?
Seacrest announced Olio’s arrival in an Instagram caption earlier in February 2024: “Your regular reminder of how much I love EVOO… Introducing our newest family member – Olio!” The announcement was reported at the time by Yahoo Entertainment, republishing a People report.
The name is a nod to olive oil: “EVOO” is a common abbreviation for extra-virgin olive oil. During a later conversation with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, Seacrest played on that connection, joking, “Yes, he speaks Italian. Yes, he loves marinara, and he’s named after olive oil.” The Italian-speaking and marinara-loving details were jokes, not literal claims about the puppy.
How did Seacrest’s dog Georgia react?
When asked how Georgia handled the new arrival, Seacrest joked, “Georgia rolled her eyes for a couple of months,” then added, “And now they’re close.” His account suggests an initially unimpressed older dog and a warmer relationship later on, though the exchange was lighthearted rather than a detailed account of their adjustment.

What is known about Olio now?
The announcement and conversation date to February 2024. The contemporaneous report does not establish Olio’s breed, and the reviewed coverage does not verify his current age, health, or status. A separate pet profile describes him as a yellow Labrador, but that is secondary-source context rather than confirmation in the original report.
