They appear as themselves during the boat-concert scene in Peacemaker season 2’s finale, “Full Nelson.” The episode’s title points to the band performing in the scene—not to a newly introduced character named Nelson.
Who are Matthew and Gunnar Nelson?
Matthew and Gunnar Nelson are brothers who perform together as the American rock duo Nelson. GamesRadar+ reported that both brothers are present in the finale’s concert scene. The identification comes from secondary reporting; the available episode listing and official synopsis establish the finale’s context but do not themselves identify the performers.

What happens at the boat concert?
In “Full Nelson,” Peacemaker spots a Nelson concert on a boat and asks Harcourt to join him. A recap says she relents, while another describes the concert as a point of connection between the two characters. Those recaps read the moment as romantic, but that is scene coverage’s interpretation rather than a confirmed explanation of the creators’ intent. TV Obsessive and The A.V. Club describe the scene.
Where does the scene fit in the finale?
“Full Nelson” is season 2, episode 8, the season finale. Apple TV lists it under that title and episode number. The Television Academy’s 2026 music ballot synopsis says the episode follows Peacemaker’s wake-up call from the loyal 11th Street Kids, then focuses on Peacemaker and Harcourt having to rectify their past as Flag’s mission increasingly threatens the future. It also credits Ian Broucek as music supervisor.
