She is married to model Lucky Blue Smith. Her videos have drawn “tradwife” comparisons, but that label is a public interpretation she has resisted—not an established description of her identity. Discussion of religion also followed her marriage and online visibility; in 2024, Smith said she was still working out her own faith.
Who is Nara Smith?
Smith is a model and social-media creator whose videos often make a performance of cooking from scratch: they center on preparing elaborate food and on domestic, family-oriented scenes. Those videos are the main reason she became a subject of wider discussion. Vanity Fair’s profile also connects her cooking work to Homemade, her first cookbook.
She is married to model Lucky Blue Smith, a relationship noted in profiles of the couple and in coverage of their online visibility. Harper’s Bazaar’s 2024 profile discusses both her videos and the debate around how viewers interpret them.
Why do people call her a “tradwife”?
“Tradwife” is a contested label used in online discussion for content that appears to emphasize traditional domestic roles. Viewers and media coverage have applied it to Smith because her videos foreground cooking and home life. That is an interpretation of what the videos portray, not proof of her beliefs, private arrangements, or a self-description she accepts.

#1 Best Overall
Smith has pushed back on being made a central figure in the debate. Vanity Fair reports that she preferred descriptions such as “princess” and “dress-up” to “tradwife.” Harper’s Bazaar also covered her reaction to the label. The useful distinction is between what audiences read into the videos and how Smith has described the framing herself.
What has she said about religion?
Marriage to Lucky Blue Smith and public assumptions about the couple’s household have brought religion into discussion of Nara Smith. Those assumptions do not establish her personal faith. In a March 7, 2024 report on her response to TikTok discussion, Axios quoted Smith saying, “I’m still learning and figuring out my own faith.” Axios also reported that she described herself at the time as not “hardcore Mormon.” These are her remarks in that 2024 context, not a definitive account of her current religious practice.
How does Homemade fit in?
Homemade is Smith’s first cookbook, tying her published work to the cooking-from-scratch focus of her videos. Vanity Fair’s profile discusses the book alongside her cooking. It is a more direct connection to her creative work than assumptions about what her domestic scenes mean.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What is fact, and what is interpretation?
- Established in profiles: Smith is a model and social-media creator, and she is married to model Lucky Blue Smith.
- Visible in her content: Her videos feature elaborate cooking-from-scratch and family-centered scenes.
- Public interpretation: Some coverage and viewers connect those scenes to the “tradwife” debate.
- Her attributed response: She has objected to that framing and said in 2024 that she was still figuring out her faith.
Keeping those categories separate avoids treating an audience label, a spouse’s identity, or a staged video format as a complete biography of Smith.
