Akeem Morris is a Jamaican-born former club soccer player who has been publicly linked to Madonna since 2024. He first appeared alongside her in a professional Paper Magazine photo shoot in 2022, but that shoot predates the relationship rumors and does not establish when—or whether—their private relationship began.
Who is Akeem Morris?
Morris was born in Spanish Town, Jamaica, on May 2, 1996, according to Harper’s Bazaar. As of October 4, 2026, he is 30. He attended Stony Brook University in New York and played collegiate soccer. He later played forward for Oyster Bay United FC, a club team.

That record supports describing Morris as a former club soccer player, not as a professional footballer. The Standard reports that he attended Stony Brook from 2014 to 2018 and appeared in one match for Oyster Bay United in the statistics it consulted. The Standard and ELLE also report his Jamaican background and soccer connections.
Is Akeem Morris Madonna’s boyfriend?
Entertainment coverage has described Morris and Madonna as a couple, based on their public appearances and social posts. The available evidence establishes that they have been publicly linked since 2024 and continued to appear together through August 2026; it does not establish their exact private relationship status or provide a direct confirmation from either person.

ELLE, in a February 9, 2026 account, says Morris “may have been dating” Madonna since at least July 2024, reflecting that the start date is inferred from public activity. Harper’s Bazaar presents them as dating and reports later shared appearances. The Looker, in a February 18, 2026 article, noted that they had not publicly commented on their relationship as of that date. These reports are media characterizations, not a statement from the pair defining their relationship.
How did Madonna meet Akeem Morris?
Morris appeared with Madonna in an August 2022 Paper Magazine cover-story photo shoot. The Standard’s contemporaneous account identifies the shoot as their reported professional encounter. It is evidence that they worked together, not that they were dating in 2022.

When did the relationship rumors begin?
July 2024: Their association drew notice
Madonna included Morris in social posts around the Fourth of July in 2024. ELLE and Harper’s Bazaar identify those posts as the point romance speculation surfaced; The Standard described the pair as appearing to soft-launch their association during the celebrations. The posts prompted public attention but do not, by themselves, confirm a relationship.
August 2024: Public appearances in Italy
Morris accompanied Madonna to Italy for her 66th birthday, with appearances in Portofino. Coverage treated the trip as a more visible sign of their association. It still does not supply an exact date when a private relationship may have begun.

Late 2024 through 2025: More appearances together
ELLE records additional appearances and social posts, including Halloween and holiday posts, as well as a New York outing in February 2025. Harper’s Bazaar reports that Morris attended the 2025 Met Gala with Madonna. Taken together, the events show a continuing public association, rather than confirming private terms.
2026: The association continued in public
ELLE reports that the pair attended a London soccer match in February 2026. Harper’s Bazaar later reported that Morris joined Madonna and family for her 68th birthday trip to Greece in August, and that both posted photos from the trip. That is the latest public activity described in the cited accounts; it cannot establish their status after the reporting dates.
