In a May 2025 report, El País described Evans as living in Madrid with his boyfriend Fran Tomás, using the Spanish spelling with an accent. These reports identify him as Evans’s partner in the periods they cover; they do not establish the couple’s status or residence after May 2025.

The Guardian noted that Evans discusses his current partner in his autobiography, Boy from the Valleys; its profile also quoted Evans reflecting on childhood and acting, not on Tomas.
