Judge Judy’s granddaughter is Sarah Rose Levy, who is generally known as Sarah Rose. She is a 2022 graduate of New York Law School, and she worked as her grandmother’s law clerk on the television series Judy Justice. Some searches spell her first name “Sara,” but the institutional sources and interviews that name her use “Sarah.”
Her name and how to spell it
New York Law School’s 2022 coverage gives her full name as Sarah Rose Levy and identifies her as Judge Judy Sheindlin’s granddaughter. Elsewhere she is simply called Sarah Rose, and ABC’s 2022 interview with her uses that form. If you are citing her, use “Sarah Rose” and, where a full name is needed, “Sarah Rose Levy.” The spelling “Sara” appears in some search queries but not in the sources that name her directly.
Family connection and law school
New York Law School says three generations of the Sheindlin family have attended the school: Judge Judy Sheindlin, her daughter Nicole Sheindlin, and Sarah Rose. Judge Sheindlin is a 1965 graduate of the school, so the granddaughter’s enrollment continued a family tie that the school itself highlights in its 2022 reporting.
The school’s later coverage lists Sarah Rose Levy with the class of 2022 and says Judge Sheindlin presented her diploma at commencement. The school also noted that Judge Sheindlin was the first speaker at that graduation, which was the first in-person ceremony after the pandemic-era disruptions. Sarah Rose later described the moment as a “great legacy moment” in her October 2022 interview with ABC.

Her role on Judy Justice
CBS New York reported in November 2021 that Sarah Rose joined Judy Justice as her grandmother’s law clerk while she was still finishing law school. ABC later described her as the show’s law clerk. In practice, the role placed her alongside Judge Sheindlin on the bench-style program, where a clerk supports the judge’s review of each case.

What Sarah Rose has said about the show
In her October 2022 ABC interview, Sarah Rose described the program as a way to give viewers a real legal lesson from each case, and as a way to show how generations think differently. Her own words were:

“Not only are we trying to give the audience a takeaway and a real legal lesson from the case but I think it shows that different generations, we think differently. We have different morals, different standards. And I think that healthy discourse between the two, being able to air that and show that — I hope that showing the disagreements in a healthy way — I think it’s great.”
On the 2022 graduation, she said:
“It was surreal to have my grandmother be the first speaker for the first graduation [since the pandemic] due to COVID, just to have my classmates excited about the moment and then for me personally was just over the moon that she was there — and being able to give me my degree was really special — it was a great legacy moment for me.”

CBS reported in November 2021 that Judy Justice was streaming on Prime Video. That is a dated statement. Streaming rights for television series change often, so check the current platform and region before relying on it. The sources reviewed do not establish present-day availability in any country.

- Her current employment or any role after the 2021 to 2022 period described above.
- Her age, bar admission, or personal life beyond her family relationship and law school degree.
- Any statistics about her own viewership or career. Audience figures for the original Judge Judy program refer to that show, not to her.
If you need a current position for her, check her professional profile or a recent statement from New York Law School or the production company rather than older coverage.
