India Oxenberg’s partner is chef Patrick D’Ignazio. She called him her fiancé in 2020 interviews, but later reporting says the two eloped that same year, so he is now her husband.
Who the fiancé was in the 2020 reporting
When Oxenberg first talked publicly about her relationship, she identified Patrick D’Ignazio as her fiancé. In an October 2020 ELLE interview dated October 19, 2020, she said, “My fiancé Patrick has been my saving grace,” and described the two planning their wedding. The profile identified him as a chef with no connection to NXIVM, and placed the couple near Venice Beach in Los Angeles at that time.

Vanity Fair’s interview from the same month also called him her fiancé. It says she met him while he was a sous-chef and she was managing a restaurant in New York, and it traces how the relationship developed after she left NXIVM.
From engagement to marriage
The engagement label no longer describes the relationship. A 2023 People interview, republished by Yahoo, refers to D’Ignazio as her husband and says the couple eloped in 2020. It also describes their life in Key West, Florida.

The timeline is therefore compressed: the couple were engaged and planning a wedding in the 2020 interviews, and later reporting places their elopement in the same year.

Oxenberg has spoken about her life after NXIVM in her memoir, Still Learning: A Memoir, and in interviews. Her comments about D’Ignazio in the 2020 coverage focus on his support during the period after she left the group, and that is the only context from her own words used here. Readers interested in her perspective on that period can start with the memoir; the articles above report the relationship details.

Oxenberg also appeared in the HBO documentary series The Vow, which covers NXIVM. Her relationship with D’Ignazio is not part of that series’ central storyline.
