Gerry Turner’s girlfriend is Lana Sutton, whom later coverage described as his fiancée. Turner said they began talking after Sutton contacted him on Facebook, having watched him on The Golden Bachelor. He has described their relationship as joyful and fun. Who is Lana Sutton?
Sutton is the woman Turner began dating after his 2024 divorce from Theresa Nist. In April 2025, Turner publicly identified Sutton as his girlfriend. Us Weekly reported that she was a retired teacher in her mid-50s and a former part-owner of a video production company; those are the outlet’s biographical details, not independently confirmed here. Us Weekly’s April 2025 report covered the announcement and early details.

How did Gerry Turner and Lana Sutton meet?
Turner said Sutton contacted him on Facebook after watching The Golden Bachelor. He told Vanity Fair that mutual friends and their shared Indiana roots made him more comfortable responding. Us Weekly reported that the pair went on their first date in March 2025 and met each other’s family members as the relationship developed. Turner’s interview with Savannah Walsh for Vanity Fair, published November 7, 2025, recounts how they connected.
What does Turner mean by a “fun” relationship?
Turner’s description centers on compatibility and enjoying life together, rather than on one defining activity. He has pointed to family life, travel, adventure, spontaneity, shared values and ordinary pleasures. These are Turner’s own characterizations of the relationship, not independent assessments.

In the Vanity Fair interview, Turner said: “There’s joy in so many different areas with us that weren’t there with other regional cultures. It’s very comforting.” He also joked about his prior marriage: “Forty-three years of being married does prove that I’m trainable.” The 43 years refers to Turner’s personal recollection of his marriage, not a broader statistic.
In an October 2025 report, TV Insider/Swooon quoted Turner saying, “We’re both enjoying the travel, adventure, and spontaneity.” The October 13, 2025 report also covered his comments about their early messages.
