Frankie Jonas is Franklin Jonas, the youngest brother of Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas. He began appearing on screen as a child, voiced Sosuke in the English-language version of Hayao Miyazaki’s Ponyo, and has since released solo music. Jonas Group Entertainment’s September 26, 2026 artist press kit describes him as an artist and songwriter.
Who is Frankie Jonas?
Frankie is the professional name widely used for Franklin Jonas. He is the youngest of the four Jonas brothers, whose older siblings are Kevin, Joe and Nick. His official representation now presents him as an artist and songwriter, rather than only as a member of a famous family. Jonas Group Entertainment’s artist press kit, dated September 26, 2026, lists Jonas Group Publishing and Jonas Group Management as his representatives.
Fans have called him “Bonus Jonas,” but that nickname should not be mistaken for his chosen identity. In a 2021 Bustle profile, Jonas said he disliked the label because it made him feel like an extension of his brothers’ public identities. Joe Jonas told Bustle he stopped using it after Frankie explained that it hurt him.
What movies and shows has Frankie Jonas been in?
Early appearances with his brothers
Apple’s artist biography and catalog record early appearances in Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream and Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience. He also appeared as Frankie Lucas in the Disney Channel series Jonas. These credits place his early screen work within the entertainment world his brothers had already established.

Voicing Sosuke in Ponyo
Jonas voiced Sosuke in the English-language version of Hayao Miyazaki’s animated film Ponyo. The credit is for the English voice performance; it does not mean he created or directed the film. Apple’s biography describes the role, and its catalog lists Ponyo among his screen-related entries.
Later screen credits
Apple’s catalog also includes The Haunting Hour, Claim to Fame and A Very Jonas Christmas Movie. A catalog entry confirms that a title is associated with his filmography, but it does not establish where that title is currently available to watch in every country. Streaming rights and catalogs can change by territory.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why is Frankie Jonas sometimes called the fourth Jonas brother?
Frankie is the fourth and youngest Jonas brother, after Kevin, Joe and Nick. Unlike his older brothers, he was not part of the original Jonas Brothers recording lineup. His public work has included acting and voice acting as a child, social-media visibility, and later solo music. Calling him a brother is accurate; treating “Bonus Jonas” as his preferred name is not.
